How do women of color interpret feminism, especially through the lens of the black church?
Keri Day of Brite Divinity School uses womanism, a term coined by author Alice Walker, to describe the perspective of feminism with slavery and segregation in its periphery. Day wrote She's on the air with Krys Boyd at noon to discuss the black church's influence in the political and social realms.
