- Entrepreneurs for North Texas organizes the annual , which seeks to honor Sept. 11 through community service. Volunteers will work with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas to paint and make repairs at the Dallas VA Medical Center campus and homes of veterans across North Texas. Entrepreneurs for North Texas passes along the following details:
"More than 911 volunteers will join forces with Entrepreneurs for North Texas. ... Volunteers will paint, landscape and provide upgrades and repairs to campus areas, numerous Veteran transitional housing units and at Veteran homes in our community. Each year, EFNT, a program of Communities Foundation of Texas, honors the lives lost and changed during the terrorist attacks of 9/11 by hosting an inspirational and impactful day of community service. For the first time, EFNT is partnering with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas to serve those who have served all of us 鈥� the nation鈥檚 veterans."

- The Dallas Symphony Chorus will perform uplifting music, including a tribute to Dallas police, firefighters and first responders. Dallas Fire Chief Louie Bright and Dallas Police Chief David Brown will kick off the evening. will include American, patriotic and spiritual music and will feature Mary Preston playing the majestic Lay Family Concert Organ. It鈥檚 at 6:30 p.m. at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora St., Dallas.
- The American Red Cross鈥� D/FW chapter is getting a new feeding and supply truck, called an emergency response vehicle. The vehicle will be at the American Red Cross in Fort Worth.
- The George W. Bush Presidential Library has with pictures and other items from Sept. 11, 2001. The bullhorn used by Bush at Ground Zero is back on display at the library, in the 鈥淩esponding to September 11鈥� exhibit. It had been on display at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York. The library's Twitter page is tweeting Bush's schedule from Sept. 11, 2001:

- Defenders of Freedom will hold a reception to honor its efforts of supporting troops. The DOF says: 鈥淔ounded in September 2004, DOF supports U.S. troops deployed around the world, sending personalized care packages overseas and providing emergency financial support to the wounded. The group also helps military Veterans with their transition to civilian life, providing job search assistance, mentoring services and more.鈥�
