A settlement has been reached with families of some victims of the massive West fertilizer explosion two years ago, according to the website of McLennan County, where a trial on their claims was set to begin. Jury selection for trial had been scheduled to start Monday but a county website post says potential jurors are excused because "a settlement has been reached." No other details were provided. The blast at an agricultural fertilizer facility on April 17, 2013, killed 15 people. Most of the dead were first responders along with some nearby residents. District Court Judge Jim Meyer divided lawsuits into three groups. The trial Monday was for three families of victims killed in the blast, who sued the company that owned the facility as well as fertilizer suppliers. [Associated Press]

- St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark of Lake Highlands) worked at a Lake Highlands taqueria over the weekend. the musician鈥檚 sister, Amy Savoie, is the co-owner of Resident Taqueria. - Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Austin Friday night. 鈥淟aBeouf was arrested for public intoxication near the corner of Sixth and San Jacinto around 7:30 p.m. Friday after he allegedly attempted to cross against a 鈥楧on't Walk鈥� sign. Public intoxication is a misdemeanor charge. According to witnesses, Austin police officers warned the 29-year-old to stop, but he didn't.鈥� LaBeouf was reportedly in Austin for the Austin City Limits Festival.
