The winners of the 2011 Trinity River Photo Contest have been chosen.
Sean Fitzgerald, a professional photographer, is the repeat Grand Prize winner. For the 2010 contest, Fitzgerald waited three days in the cold to get the prize winning photo of coyotes in the snow near the Audubon Center.
This year, his unusual photo of a tree limb partially submerged in the river is the Grand Prize winner.
Amateur Ben Sandifer won first place in the Architecture category. His photo features a full moon framed by the soon-to-open Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge over the Trinity.
Other categories included “wildlife” and “forest”.
