Papa Roach made its breakthrough into the mainstream a quarter-century ago, riding the nu-metal wave of the late 鈥�90s and early 2000s but outlasting many of its contemporaries in the genre.

The last time Papa Roach played in North Texas, in October 2023, the band opened for Shinedown at the 7,000-seat Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen. Earlier that year, the band had played at the 8,000-seat Toyota Music Factory in Irving.

So to be headlining a show at the 20,000-seat American Airlines Center is quite a statement for Papa Roach, which appears to be bigger than ever as it leans into early-2000s nostalgia on the 25th anniversary of its triple-platinum major-label debut, Infest, and its chart-topping single, 鈥淟ast Resort.鈥� Led by energetic frontman Jacoby Shaddix, the band has been mixing in nods to fellow nu-metal luminaries Korn, Linkin Park, Deftones, Limp Bizkit and System of a Down on its 鈥淩ise of the Roach Tour,鈥� along with plenty of hits from its own catalog.

Rise Against and Underoath are also on the bill.
