About the series

One in three Texas children has a parent who’s an immigrant – or they’re immigrants themselves. They’ve had to learn a new language, adapt to a different culture and struggle to fit into a community that may not embrace newcomers. And schools are finding innovative ways to weave them into the American tapestry.
