More than half of about 1,200 bills state lawmakers passed in 2015 become law September 1. Among them: One law allows doctors to be paid for seeing students in the state鈥檚 Medicaid program at school over a sophisticated form of video chat.
The idea stemmed from a similar program in the hospital system in North Texas involving students at more than two dozen North Texas schools. AyanMittra, Managing Editorof the Texas Tribune, talked about this and other new laws.
