Trauma injuries affect all ages:
In Texas, the majority of trauma incidents occur among young people between the ages of 25 and 34, and seniors between the ages of 75 and 84. About 3% of those incidents were deadly. In 2011, there were 433 and 431 deaths (respectively) reported to the Texas Trauma Registry.
