About one in four adults has a diagnosable mental disorder in any given year, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. In 2013, ĻӰԺ teamed up with Mayor Mike Rawlings and the Dallas Morning News for “,” a symposium that looked at how the community work together to better identify and help young adults struggling with mental illness.
There’s more work to do.
Which is why the Texas Department of State Health Services has launched — a statewide conversation about mental health to spread the message that help is available and recovery is possible.
