It鈥檚 back-to-school time for twelve innovative startups in Dallas. Today, Health Wildcatters, the Southwest鈥檚 first healthcare seed-accelerator, announced which companies were chosen for the second class of the Dallas-based accelerator. Five have Dallas ties.
From nanofiltration of wine to 3d-printing orthotics, this year鈥檚 Health Wildcatters class covers a wide range of health technology companies.

Meet The Startups:
BreathalEyes 鈥� developed a unique mobile device app that tests intoxication levels accurately, non-invasively, and in real-time via involuntary pupil fluctuations called nystagmus.
Carevature Medical North America 鈥� produces a platform of surgical drills designed to be used in areas of the human body that are difficult to reach, such as spine and joints.
颁辞辞谤诲颈-颁补谤别鈥檚 鈥� software minimizes the amount of time doctors spend on menial tasks, while capturing valuable information to improve operational efficiencies.
Easy Eye 鈥� provides a simple process for consumers to instantly customize reading glasses with the correct strengths for each eye, eliminating the overwhelming selection process.
Fittter 鈥� produces a software solution that allows fitness clubs to better engage with clients, allow more personalized training guidance, and reduce operational overhead.
INRFOOD 鈥� invented a nutrition platform that alerts, assesses and advises users on the nutrients they consume vs. what they need. The software analyzes the ingredients with an overlay of nutritional facts and aids health professionals with dietary nutrition planning and compliance consulting.
Lantern Pharma 鈥� focuses on cancer drug development; one promising compound, LP-184 offers hope to deliver a more effective treatment for advanced multi-drug resistance cancers of the prostate.
Orb Health 鈥� automatically syncs health data from the doctor to a patient鈥檚 wearable device so that the patient can own it; also, the data is presented in a way that the patient can better understand and act upon it, if appropriate.
Platform Orthopedic Solutions 鈥� uses 3D-scanning technologies along with proprietary anatomical modeling software to enable digital manufacturing of superior custom orthotics and orthopedic support devices.
Purewine 鈥� has developed a product based on nano-filtration technology called PuravinoTM which removes the noxious headache-causing agents from wine, such as sulfite preservatives and histamines.
Sintact Medical Systems 鈥� invented the Sintact Film, which reduces surgical adhesions by forming a film barrier between surfaces in the body.
Silicone Arts Laboratories 鈥� manufactures a synthetic skin product to conceal deep scars and wrinkles.
