  • According to the Centers For Disease Control, low-income neighborhoods are more vulnerable to natural disasters. And those poor neighborhoods are also disproportionately communities of color. ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôºâ€™s series has followed several people who left their storm-wrecked homes after Hurricane Harvey and decided to re-settle in North Texas. All of them are black. —about why communities of color seem to always be in the path of the storm.

  • has forced some street closures. Locust and Austin Streets are both closed between Oak and Hickory Streets. There were no reports of injuries, but several businesses were damaged in the fire on the historic downtown square. There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
