Texas has eight of the country's best restaurants, and seven of them are located in Dallas, according to analysis by restaurant reservation website OpenTable.

These Dallas restaurants made OpenTable's 2018 , with most located on the north side of the city:

Houston-area restaurant in Bellaire, Texas also made the list.

New York had the most restaurants among the 100 best, with 24, followed by California with 15 restaurants, Illinois with nine restaurants and Texas with eight. 

Which cuisines did OpenTable diners like best this year? American and Italian, followed by French, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern. 

Dallas' Uchi, Le Bilboquet, Neighborhood Services and Shinsei also made OpenTable's 100 Best list .

OpenTable says it analyzed more than 12,000,000 verified reviews from diners of over 28,000 restaurants across the country to create the list.
