Weary of the unseasonably warm temperatures? Get ready for some relief.
A cold front Thursday night is predicted to bring a 30-degree drop in temperatures, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. That front, however, will bring with it a near 100% chance of showers tonight, with some thunderstorms possible.
"At least a low potential for severe storms will exist, with the greatest threat near and north of Highway 380," the National Weather Service said in a tweet.
Following the front, Friday's high temperature is expected to be around 60 degrees. Winds 20-30 mph also are expected, with some stronger gusts possible.
Saturday will start out at a chilly 41 degrees with patchy frost possible in the far northwest counties of North Texas. Saturday's high should be in the mid-60s.
