ĻӰԺ Retools Weekday TV Lineup For Students Learning At Home During COVID-19 Crisis

The ĻӰԺ headquarters is off Harry Hines Boulevard just west of downtown Dallas.

ĻӰԺ, the public media service for North Texas, has revamped its weekday television schedule to serve pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students who are learning at home during the COVID-19 crisis.

The programs air on ĻӰԺ-Channel 13 and will stream on . The website includes a number of resources that — along with such TV shows as Cyberchase, History Detectives and American Experience — are aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.

The weekday television lineup is segmented by target grades:

  • 6-8 a.m. - Programs for kids in pre-K to 3rd grade.
  • 8 a.m.-2 p.m. - 4th through 8th-graders.
  • 2-6 p.m. - 9th through 12th graders.

“North Texas families have relied on ĻӰԺ for educational support for nearly 60 years,” ĻӰԺ President and CEO Nico Leone says. “As school closures present new challenges for children and educators alike, ĻӰԺ is excited to expand our services, both on the air and online, and turn every home into a classroom.”
