Fort Worth鈥檚 political leadership is about to change for the first time in years.
City elections are coming up on May 1, and Betsy Price, Fort Worth鈥檚 longest-serving mayor, is not seeking reelection after a decade in office.
Two City Council members are running for Price鈥檚 job, and another is retiring, leaving another three seats open on a Council that has not changed since 2017.
Plus, the races are far more crowded than usual. Ten candidates are running for mayor alone. In a city known for its polite, nonconfrontational politics, a shakeup could be on its way.
