The Republican Party of Texas has wasted no time in trying to pin a liberal label on Democrat Wendy Davis who announced her bid for governor Thursday.
The state party has launched a website, , that attacks Davis on gun rights, voter ID and abortion.
The GOP posted a video that uses Fox News footage and headlines from conservative publications to spotlight Davis鈥� filibuster that temporarily derailed a bill banning most abortions in Texas.
On her first full day as a gubernatorial candidate Davis talked with business leaders at the Fort Worth Rotary about economic development projects she worked on while serving on the city council there.
Davis is expected to begin campaigning across Texas as early as this weekend.
