UT Arlington Receives Record $7.5 Million For Scientific Research

The has received the largest philanthropic gift in its history- $7.5 million to install equipment designed for advanced scientific research.

The donation comes from a Japanese firm that manufactures equipment for medical diagnostics, aerospace and industrial analytics.

UTA President James Spaniolo says the new Shimadzu Institute for Research Technologies will help make North Texas 鈥渁 new hub of scientific discovery.鈥�
