Dallas City Council approved $8 million for the redevelopment of the historic Forest Theater, money that will help push the project to the finish line.

The 75-year-old theater鈥檚 restoration is progressing four months after groundbreaking despite unusual setbacks.

After sitting vacant for 15 years, the venue will be transformed into a community and education hub, complete with mixed-income housing.
