A lawsuit claims Brinker Elementary principal Jennifer King knew about an earlier sexual abuse accusation against second-grade teacher Paul Campbell but didn’t report it to the state as required, investigate Campbell, or supervise his actions.

The parents of an 8-year-old in Plano ISD’s Brinker Elementary have sued her former teacher, the school's principal and the district for $1 million over her alleged sexual abuse. The suit says officials knew of but failed to address other accusations against Paul Campbell.

Former longtime Plano ISD elementary teacher Paul Campbell, charged earlier this month with continuous sexual abuse of a child, now faces additional accusations.

A Brinker Elementary second grade teacher has been arrested on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 years old. Paul Campbell, 64, faces a first degree felony.
