The fifth annual Cowtown Birthplace of Western Swing Festival will call downbeat at noon Nov. 6, drawing attendees from near (Fort Worth) and far (at least Italy) who remain aficionados of the music genre that traces its origins to the city.

The city of Ferris confirmed it will be one of the primary locations for the unnamed "Yellowstone" spinoff featuring Beth and Rip.

After an explosion at the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel on Jan. 8, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo has announced a change to the parade route to avoid the area near the hotel.
