If you’re looking for work in Dallas-Fort Worth, your best bet is to look in the health care industry.
Jobs numbers from July show a slight decrease overall in Dallas Fort-Worth (0.2 percent), but there is good news for health care.
Texas Health Resources came in number one, adding 1,422 jobs. The other providers on the top five are Baylor Health Care System, HCA and Lakeview Hospital.

Then Dallas-Fort Worth area isn’t only in need of primary care physicians (although that tops the list of doctors in high demand, according to Dallas-based physician-recruiting firm Merritt Hawkins.) There’s also a need for people to work in health care human resources, customer service, architecture and construction.
Many universities in North Texas already offer , but some are starting new programs to meet growing demand. UT Dallas just announced it has nearly 250 students in its program – which is only in its second year.
