From The Newsroom: Open Carry Closer To Approval; A Legislative Progress Report

The top local stories this morning from the ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôºroom: An open carry bill faces a final vote today in the state senate. The bill would allow those with a concealed handgun license to openly carry handguns.

Also, Governor Greg Abbott visited Dallas yesterday as he approaches the midpoint of his first legislative session. Over in Austin, one of the big trends discussed at the SXSW Interactive Festival was the idea of the connected car – technology that allows cars to talk to each other.
