Heavy rainfall and flooding pose a threat tomorrow through Thursday with potential for over four inches of rain in some areas in North Texas. Currently, the weather service predicts the rain to hit east of I-35 and I-35E.
Changes to the location, amount and timing of the rainfall and flooding will depend on the guidance of the tropical system, which has an 80 percent chance of developing into a tropical depression or storm in the next day.
The storm has potential to move either east or west, and in turn, affect the forecast for North and Central Texas in the next 24 to 48 hours, the weather service says.
The rainfall could begin as early on Tuesday morning. The heaviest rainfall and flooding are expected Wednesday and Wednesday night, according to the weather service.
