The top local stories this morning from the ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôºroom: The federal government and the nonprofit International Rescue Committee (IRC) fired back against Texas this morning. They filed separate briefs to prevent the state’s attempts to block six Syrian refugees from arriving in Dallas Monday.
reports 15 more refugees from Syria are expected by the end of next week. Many are children.
Shortly after last month’s terror attacks in Paris, the Governor announced Texas would not accept Syrian refugees for safety reasons.
