Top Stories: A Texas Take On Presidential Candidates; An Underground School In FW

The top local stories this morning from ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº: A new poll from the University of Texas and has Ted Cruz leading the Republican race eight points ahead of Donald Trump. Democrat Hillary Clinton is 10 points ahead of Bernie Sanders. 

The poll surveyed 1,200 registered voters before Saturday’s South Carolina primary contest and before Jeb Bush dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination.

Other stories this morning:

  • Ahead of Super Tuesday, to campaign on her behalf. Clinton’s appearance was the first time a former or current president has visited Paul Quinn College.
  • Dallas police have launched an assault investigation between two candidates for Dallas county commissioner. Incumbent John Wiley Price and Dwaine Caraway at gospel radio station
  • The state has a handful of schools built underground, including one in Fort Worth. - a school built 40 years ago.
