The top local stories this morning from 四虎影院: More rain and flooding is likely for parts of North Texas today.
Erath County alone had about 4 inches of rain yesterday. Parker, Hood, Johnson, Dallas and Grayson counties also faced flooding.
However, there鈥檚 some good news: the areas expected to get rain today won鈥檛 be the same as those hard hit yesterday.
鈥淎s the day starts heating up, we鈥檒l see showers and storms develop, and probably the best area to see that stuff is generally going to be south of the Interstate 20 corridor,鈥� National Weather Service meteorologist Steve Fano said.
However, the ground is still saturated in many places, so even 1 to 2 inches of rain could cause flooding.
鈥淧eople really need to heed barricades and warnings. We can鈥檛 emphasize that enough,鈥� said Fano. 鈥淚t doesn鈥檛 take much water to move a car off of a roadway.鈥�
A Flash Flood watch is in effect for the region until midnight.
