Ken Starr, former chancellor and president of Baylor University, was interviewed by Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith at The Texas Tribune Festival on Sept. 24.

The top local stories this morning from ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº: Former Baylor University chancellor and president Ken Starr was at the to talk about the sexual assault scandal that involved several former football players.

Starr defended former head football coach Art Briles and suggested the school was dealing with some of the same challenges as other universities, such as binge drinking.

He also acknowledged scattered problems with the way the Baylor handled women who reported instances of sexual assault. An outside review determined the school mishandled rape allegations.
