Top Stories: Frisco ISD Delays New Schools; Special Education Roadblocks

The top local stories this morning from ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº: With a rapidly-growing student population, the Frisco school district has usually opened a few new schools each year. However, trustees last night opening four new schools.

Other stories this morning:

  • Texas has some of the lowest enrollment numbers in the nation. But fighting with schools to get services for their kids - services schools are required to provide under federal law.
  • Dallas and Fort Worth scored a perfect 100 on the The index ranks U-S cities based on their LGBTQ-friendly laws and services. North Texas suburbs all scored in the lower half, except for Plano, which earned a score of 76.
