The top local stories this morning from ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº: The U.S. House is expected to vote today on a bill to dismantle the Affordable Care Act. It’s unclear whether there are enough votes to pass it, but there’s a lot of support from Texas Republicans.
Most of the 25 Texas Republicans in the U.S. House the proposed Affordable Health Care Act. Still, there’s a few exceptions, and Democrats universally oppose the bill.

- Texas House Speaker Joe Straus claims the Senate’s in its budget proposal. The Finance Committee yesterday approved a proposed budget of $106 billion. They used an accounting trick to free up money in the budget – pushing the diversion of sales tax money from the 2019 fiscal year to 2020.
- The city of Dallas says 911 call performance is improving. So-called ghost calls have been jamming the city’s 911 call center on-and-off since December. Phones appeared to be calling 911 multiple times, flooding the queue and leaving hundreds of callers on hold. But in a statement yesterday, officials said between 83 and 85 percent of calls have been answered within 10 seconds.
