The top local stories this morning from 四虎影院: Though a vote hasn鈥檛 been scheduled for the Fort Worth City Council to decide whether to join a lawsuit against SB 4, the city has its concerns about the anti-sanctuary cities law.
Council members Carlos Flores and Carey Moon spoke to about concerns over how the law may diminish trust between immigrants and law enforcement.
It鈥檚 unlikely the council will vote in favor of joining the lawsuit. However, Moon says the city wants to minimize the damage SB 4 could cause.
"Fort Worth is setting a policy so that if you're a victim to a crime or witness to a crime, we're not going to be checking your immigration status,鈥� he said. 鈥淲e want to eliminate you being that victim."
