Top Stories: Weekend Protest Over Robert. E Lee Statue In Dallas; Cowboys Fall To Broncos

About 115 people showed up at Saturday to protest the city's recent decision to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

People with handgun licenses were urged to come armed, but only a couple dozen protesters actually did. Other than one fight between a man wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt and a supporter of the Lee statue, the protest was relatively peaceful.

Other stories this morning:

  • The city's Confederate Monument Task Force will decide what to do with the statue, as well as other monuments, street names and artwork in . The task force hasn't made any recommendations, so far.

  • After a strong season opener and last week's legal tussle over whether running back Ezekiel Elliott could play, the Dallas Cowboys suffered their first loss of the season Sunday against Denver, 42-17.
