Top Stories: Abbott, Dallas Lawmaker To Meet About Confederate Monuments At The Capitol

The top local stories this morning from ĻӰԺ: Governor Greg Abbott and Texas House Rep. Eric Johnson (D-Dallas) to discuss Confederate monuments on Capitol grounds.

Johnson wants a plaque outside his Capitol office removed. It asserts the Civil War was “not a rebellion, nor was its underlying cause to sustain slavery.” Abbott has previously said removing monuments won't erase the past.
