Classes resume this morning at Italy High School following a shooting on campus early yesterday.
A male student shot a female student in the school cafeteria. Police have not officially released the identities of the victim or the suspect and have not hinted at a possible motive.
Grief counseling will be available for students and there will be additional security on campus.
The girl is recovering at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. About 300 people packed Central Baptist Church in Italy last night to pray for her.
Italy is located about 45 minutes south of Dallas.
