Voters are for November's midterm contests, but in some races, there are so many candidates that May runoffs are likely. There are scores of races from a U.S. Senate seat to governor to several statewide offices.
All U.S. House seats in Texas are on the ballot, and eight of those are open seats where Congress members are not running for re-election. In the Texas Legislature, the entire state House is up for grabs, as are 15 of 31 Texas Senate seats.
In North Texas, Dallas County voters will pick the Democratic challenger for district attorney, while Tarrant County will choose candidates for the tax assessor collector's race.
