President Biden will be at the LBJ Presidential Library on Monday to mark the 60th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act. A planned visit to Austin earlier in the month was postponed after the of former President Trump.

When Biden's visit was first announced, Lenna Nasr with , a member of the coalition, said it was 鈥渇arcical鈥� that the president would give a speech on civil rights when Israel鈥檚 attacks on Gaza have killed tens of thousands of Palestinians.
鈥淲e intend to send a message to Biden that through supporting Israel鈥檚 genocide in Palestine, he is complicit in genocide and in war crimes including mass murder, torture, man-made starvation and the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure,鈥� she told KUT.
Nasr said the coalition is calling on the U.S. to stop supplying weapons to Israel and for a full ceasefire in the conflict that has lasted over nine months. She said the group is also calling for more aid to Gaza, which is facing , according to the United Nations.
