Shiny New Honors On ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº's Awards Shelf Total 14 In 2013

The – a 50-state project that ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº was part of last year – has won a for investigative reporting from the Radio Television Digital News Association.

It's the latest honor in a record year of 14 awards for the station's news team, which also earned three , six from the  and four from the Texas Medical Association.

The national Murrow Awards, among the top honors in broadcasting, were announced Wednesday. ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº's contribution to the State Integrity Investigation was a three-part series of stories by Shelley Kofler called "."

Rick Holter was ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº's vice president of news. He oversaw news coverage on all of ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº's platforms – radio, digital and television. Under his leadership, ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº earned more than 200 local, regional and national awards, including the station's first two national Edward R. Murrow Awards. He and the ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº staff were also part of NPR's Ebola-coverage team that won a George Foster Peabody Award, broadcasting's highest honor.
