The top local stories this morning from the ĻӰԺroom: Though a cold front has already come through early this morning, the North Texas will be under elevated fire conditions today.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Jennifer Dunn says that’s not unusual in the winter seasons because of dry conditions.
“October is normally one of our wetter months throughout the year,” she says. “The fact that it has been so dry has resulted in these elevated fire conditions.”
Between 8 and 10 grass fires were reported in Navarro, Denton, Ellis, and Parker Counties yesterday.
