The Dallas school board last night voted to .
The Texas Education Agency has given 鈥淚mprovement Required鈥� ratings to Titche Elementary, Edison Middle School and Carr Elementary for five straight years. Another failing rating for any of those schools would trigger a possible state takeover of the entire district.
If Edison passes this year鈥檚 state test, the middle school will relocate into nearby Pinkston High School, but keep its name. If it fails, the move will still happen, and the high school will become a 7th through 12th grade school.
J.W. Ray Learning Center and Kennedy Learning Center will close. Students will attend Cesar Chavez Learning Center.
