Top Stories: Plano Council Member Faces The Public; Inside Failing Schools In North Texas

City of Plano; Facebook

The top local stories this morning from ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº: Plano City Council member Tom Harrison  over controversial social media posts.

Back in February, Harrison shared a Facebook post that stated, "Share if you think Trump should ban Islam in American schools."

Harrison apologized, but the city council publicly censured him - and a public petition with about 4,400 signatures asked for a recall election.

Last night, Harrison said he thought the post was about separation of church and schools. He also said he will not step down. His term ends next May.
