The top local stories this evening from ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº: A Wednesday evening Mass in downtown Dallas is honoring the police officer killed in a shooting at a home improvement store.

Rogelio Santander was a three-year veteran of the Dallas police force. He was one of in northeast Dallas. Cathedral bells will toll 27 times to mark each year of the officer's life.

  • The Dallas City Council today took up several controversial proposals over what to do with the city's Confederate memorials. The council approved some measures -- and delayed others. Council members on whether to demolish the Confederate War Memorial at Pioneer Park Cemetery — and whether to remove the base where a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E.
